3 Far and Away 3 Grammar Adverbs of Degree DC Adverbs of degree tell us about the intensity of a verb, adjective, or other adverbs. Some common adverbs of degree are: absolutely almost barely completely enough extremely hardly just quite SO rather too nearly scarcely very Adverbs of degree usually go before the main verb they modify.
