| Technology @ Work: Online Survey Tools When you want to survey members of your team, you can use online survey tools to take care of the mechanics of creating and administering online surveys. Survey tools such as Google Survey (https://surveys.google.com/) let you use your Web browser to create surveys. Using online survey tools, you can select the types of questions you want to ask, customize the survey form, collect responses, and then analyze the results. Team members can then use their Web browsers to complete the surveys (Figure 9-33). 1. Design the survey Using an online survey tool, you can start by naming the survey and then selecting a theme. Next, you enter each survey question. Select the type of question you want to ask, such as multiple choice with one correct answer, a rating scale, or a short answer question, and then enter the question text. Google Survey provides templates to help you create typical types of surveys. 2. Select how to collect responses After you create a survey, you need to let team members know it's available. Using Google Survey or similar tools, you can generate a link that you paste into an e-mail message or Web page. Team members can open the e-mail message or Web page, and then click the link to display the survey in their Web browser. To manage the questionnaire on Survey Monkey, you can choose whether to allow multiple responses, and set a cut-off date for responses. 3. Analyze results Online survey tools also collect the responses to your survey, and then ana- lyze the results. For example, online survey tools typically record how many people selected each option for each question on your survey. They also record how many people in total answered the question and how many skipped the question. You can also view the responses in different ways, including as a summary or as a detailed list. وزارة التعليم Ministry of Education 2024-1446 Business Decision Making S1 S2 S3.indb 341 Using Data to Support the Decision Making Process 341 30/06/2023 14:28
