Reading Sham El-Nessim 1 Listen and read I love celebrating Sham El-Nessim. It's the start of spring, and it's my favorite time of year. My brother and I always decorate eggs for Sham El-Nessim. My mom cooks eggs until they are hard, then we use paint to dye them different colors. They look very pretty. Everybody wants to be outside at Sham El-Nessim. My mom and dad make a big picnic.
