O 11 If It Hadn't Happened 3 Grammar Should Have + Past Participle Use should have + past participle to talk about regrets. Use this form to talk about things you wish you had done or hadn't done. I should have said I was sorry. (... but I didn't say I was sorry) I shouldn't have done that.
